Users can then preview the Postcard that will get sent in the mail, selecting from a selection of color and layout presets. Just like a standard postcard, one side features the recipient’s address and a personal message from the sender, while the reverse contains an image and, in this case, a preview of the mix tracklist.
We wanted this experience to include the anticipation you might feel as someone sending a regular postcard, waiting to hear from your friend that it arrived. In the library where you can view your Postcard Things, we included a tag that will change from “sent” to “delivered”—that change will be triggered when the recipient scans the Spotify code and saves the mix to their library.
