Works Like Prototyping

As part of our usability testing, we conducted a 24-hour journal study with a research participant. The goal was to uncover potential problems with the proposed system and design, learn more about the target user's behaviors, and answer questions such as:

→ How often and where would users decide to drop a crumb?
→ Is there any pattern to those decisions?
→ What does positive feedback from the device look like?

After she spent 24 hours with the working prototype, we interviewed Lyndsey on her experience interacting with the device, her thought process behind deciding to drop a crumb, and suggestions for improvement.
