During my four years at Brown University, I was a Darkroom Studio Monitor for Photography courses in the Visual Art Department, as well as Head of the Darkroom Photography Club. There’s a magical blending of senses that happens in the darkroom—blindly tracing along sprockets to load a film reel, the vinegary scent of stop bath, a soundtrack of constant running water, and the visual pleasure of watching an image come to life.
