Lilly Nguyen is a creative based in New Haven, CT.

I'm a multi-disciplinary product designer always looking to bridge my creative and analytical abilities in the pursuit of invention. I’m currently the Design Fellow at the Yale University Center for Engineering Innovation and Design, where I manage the studios and labs as a technical expert in fabrication and design. I recently graduated with my Master of Arts in Design Engineering from a joint program between the Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University, As a Design Engineer, I can navigate both domains to collaborate in cross-functional teams, apply creative problem solving to challenging problems, and build meaningful, human experiences. Prior to graduate school, I worked in software development and strategy consulting, and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics + Economics from Brown University.

In my spare time, I’m a concert enthusiast and live music photographer. I started out bringing my camera to dive bars in my hometown of Baltimore, and for the past decade I’ve been capturing the magic of live music from Washington, DC to Boston, San Francisco to Paris. Currently, I manage an awesome team of creatives as Director of Photography at Sound of Boston–a publication dedicated to supporting Boston’s vibrant local music scene.
